Nagpur: Futala Lake is facing growing concerns over poor maintenance and misbehaviour by visitors. In a shocking incident, two young men were caught on camera causing chaos inside an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter exhibit meant for selfies. The video quickly went viral on social media, angering many.

People are now questioning the lack of security at the site. Despite being a key attraction, Futala Lake is in a poor state. Many structures are rusting, sculptures are broken or missing, and the area looks neglected.

The beautification efforts have also suffered. The ticket counters and helicopter exhibit are covered in dust, while garbage, liquor bottles, and food wrappers litter the surroundings.

A defence official expressed disappointment, saying, “This is sad. These are national assets, and everyone should help maintain them. Young people must act more responsibly.”

The incident has led to demands for better security and maintenance to restore Futala Lake’s reputation as a top tourist destination. Authorities are now under pressure to take action.
