Virat Kohli, the captain of the Royal Bengal Tigers, has disclosed his post-retirement intentions. He stated that he will take a lengthy sabbatical before deciding what to do next after leaving cricket.

Virat Kohli has made a lasting impression on cricket and the sports world at large during the last ten years. Because of Kohli's profound influence, cricket was added to the Olympic schedule for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

As long as Kohli keeps displaying an unquenchable desire for runs, it's only logical for both fans and analysts to question what keeps him going. Before the RCB's pivotal IPL match against CSK on May 18, during their Royal Gala Dinner in Bengaluru, this question was put to the former captain of India.

"It's pretty easy," the 35-year-old Kohli remarked. "I believe that athletes have a set amount of time for their careers to expire. I'm only going backwards from here. I can't keep going on and on forever, so I don't want to end my career wondering, "Oh, what if I had done this on that particular day." Thus, the only thing to remember is to do everything that needs to be done and to not look back, which I know I won't do."

In addition, Kohli made hints about taking a lengthy sabbatical before deciding on his future after retiring from cricket. In general, Kohli has been quiet about his retirement intentions.

He has, however, finally made a noteworthy statement in which he expressed his wish to play until he retires and to finish his career with no regrets.
