Wadi Police have apprehended a robber involved in a series of chain-snatching incidents, shedding light on additional crimes. Rupesh Ramesh Tikle, 28, from Tiwari Layout, Pulgaon Road, Deoli, Wardha district, was detained after two snatchings.

In the first incident, Rupesh targeted Aruna Manoj Nandurkar, 37, from Atey Layout, MHADA Colony, Wadi, seizing a gold mangalsutra. Similarly, he robbed Bharati Prashant Wasnik, 24, from Sonba on Khadgaon Nagar Road, of her gold mangalsutra.

Upon interrogation, Rupesh confessed to three more robberies, implicating him in a total of five cases. Senior PI Rajesh Tatkare and PSI Kunal Dhurat led the investigation, resulting in the recovery of stolen valuables. Among the items retrieved were gold ornaments and a Honda Activa (MH-40/AZ-3912), the vehicle used in the crimes.
