Patricia Eriksson, a 41-year-old Swedish lady, endured the intense heat of Nagpur's streets in a poignant trip spanning multiple nations to find her birth mother, who gave her up for adoption forty years prior.
Patricia was adopted by a Swedish couple from a nearby orphanage less than a year after she was born in February 1983 at Daga Hospital to a 23-year-old single mother.
Her search took her to Shantinagar's historic districts as well as anganwadis, schools, and police stations. She even went into the red-light district to find out more about Shanta, a woman. Patricia said, movingly, "I just want to meet her once, hug her, and shower her with kisses before leaving this planet," highlighting her acceptance of her biological mother.
Patricia's emotional journey, aided by Anjali Pawar, is one of resolve and optimism as she works through the difficulties of her past to find a connection to her family.
Patricia is driven by a deep desire to reconnect with her roots, which keeps her steadfast in her pursuit despite the difficulties she faces at hospitals and during her journey.
