Nagpur, Maharashtra : A woman police constable from Sitabuldi Police Station sustained injuries on Tuesday, January 14, after being struck by nylon manja while on her way to duty.

The incident occurred when the sharp, banned nylon manja caused cuts on her nose. She was immediately taken to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital for medical treatment and is now recovering.

This incident highlights the ongoing dangers of nylon manja, which remains a threat despite being banned due to its sharpness and potential to cause serious harm. The use of this hazardous material continues during the Makar Sankranti kite-flying festivities, putting lives at risk.
