Yashodhara Nagar Police Probe ₹5.79 Lakh Burglary at Namdev Nagar Nagpur

Nagpur, India: A burglary case has been registered at Yashodharanagar Police Station after an unidentified thief broke into a house and stole valuables while the family was away. The incident occurred between 10:00 PM on November 3, 2024, and 11:00 AM on November 5, 2024, at Plot No. 20, Namdev Nagar, Nagpur.

The complainant, 26-year-old Harish Rafiq Akbani, had secured his house and traveled with his family to Karanja Lad to attend a relative's wedding. Upon returning, Akbani discovered that the lock on his front door had been broken. The thief gained entry and looted both lockers in the house, taking gold jewelry and ₹15,000 in cash. The total estimated value of the stolen items is around ₹5,79,000.

Following the complaint, Sub-Inspector Tayde of Yashodharanagar Police Station registered a case against an unidentified suspect under Sections 454, 380, and 457 of the Indian Penal Code. The police are continuing their investigation to trace the culprit and recover the stolen items.
