₹1.5 Lakh in Cash and Jewellery Stolen from Locked House in Nagpur
Nagpur, India: A house in New Ganesh Nagar, Bahadura Road, under Wathoda Police Station, was broken into on March 10 while the owner was away.
The victim, Sheikh Afnan Sheikh Akhtar (20), had locked his house to attend a relative’s funeral at Mota Tajbagh. Between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, thieves broke the lock and entered the house, stealing ₹50,000 in cash and gold and silver jewellery worth ₹1.5 lakh.
After returning home and discovering the theft, Sheikh Afnan reported the incident to Wathoda Police. A case has been registered under Sections 305(A) and 331(3) of the BNS, and police have started an investigation to trace the culprits.
