18 Boys Arrested for Gang Rape of 5 Tribal Girls in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Jharkhand: A shocking incident occurred in Khunti district, Jharkhand, where 18 boys allegedly gang-raped five minor tribal girls. The crime happened on February 21 as the girls were coming home from a wedding.
The girls were reportedly kidnapped by the boys and taken to a hillside, where they were assaulted. The attackers threatened the girls, telling them not to tell anyone about the incident. After returning home, the girls bravely informed their families about what happened.
Police acted quickly and arrested all 18 boys involved in the case. To ensure a thorough investigation, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been set up, led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Christopher Kerketta. The community is in shock and is calling for stronger protections for girls to prevent such terrible incidents.
