19-Year-Old Youth from Nagpur Arrested with Knife in Mecosabagh by Jaripatka Police

Nagpur, India: A youth was arrested on January 16 around 8:50 PM by Jaripatka Police during a routine patrol near Lalshala, Trikoni Maidan, Mecosabagh.
The suspect, identified as Jainit Arvind Chaure, a 19-year-old resident of Dhamma Kuti Vihar, Motha Indora, was found in possession of a sharp-edged iron knife worth ₹200, which he had concealed at his waist.
The police discovered that Chaure was carrying the weapon in violation of public safety orders. A case has been registered under Section 4/25 of the Arms Act and Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
Jainit Chaure was taken into custody, and further investigations are underway.
