19-Yrs-Old Youth Drowns in Pench River at Gogra Mahadev in Parshivni
In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old youth lost his life by drowning in the Pench River at Gogra Mahadev in Parshivni, Nagpur district. The deceased has been identified as Satyam Ashok Sahu, a resident of Bidipeth.
According to the provided information, on Sunday morning, Satyam went to Gogra Mahadev pilgrimage site along with his friends Jay Gupta and Amir Saha to seek blessings. However, tragedy struck when he decided to take a dip in the river. Suddenly, he began to drown and disappeared underwater. His friends immediately informed the authorities and Satyam's family about the incident.
Upon receiving the distress call, the police, along with teams from NDRF and SDRF, rushed to the scene to conduct search and rescue operations. Despite adverse weather conditions hampering their efforts, the body was recovered around noon on the following day.
The presence of a handkerchief stuffed in the deceased's mouth has raised suspicions, prompting authorities to consider this tragic incident from a possible murder angle. The family members of the deceased have held Satyam's friends responsible for the mishap.
