23-Year-Old Youth Drowns at Makardhokada Dam on Independence Day
Nagpur, India: Independence Day was full of woes, Kolkata experienced trauma with thousands of people attacking the RG Kar Medical Hospital in Kolkata, and vandalised the hospital building. The mob was uncontrollable and many scummed injuries including police personals.
The tragic indicent happend in Nagpur on Indepence day, when 23-year-old Aakash Chakole drowned while attempting stunts at the Makardhokada dam near Umred. Aakash, from Bhopal Nagar, Kalamna, was at the dam for a picnic with friends. While trying to climb the wall of a shed by the lake, Aakash succeeded but lost his balance and fell into the water. Constant efforts from the crowd at the Makardhokada Dam, to save the drowning man wereleft in vain.
Despite quick efforts by those nearby, Aakash could not be saved. His body was later recovered by divers and sent for post-mortem. Umrer Police have registered the case as an accidental death and are investigating the incident.
