265 Youth Receive Appointment Orders Under CM's Youth Work Training Scheme
The Maharashtra government has launched the 'Chief Minister's Youth Work Training Scheme' to improve job prospects for young people by providing practical work experience after their education. As part of this initiative, 265 trainees have been selected for 433 positions at the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). The remaining 168 positions will be filled soon.
NMC Commissioner and Administrator, Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary, announced that appointment orders have already been issued to 265 trainees, with an additional 29 positions added. The recruitment process for the remaining vacancies will be completed shortly. These appointments were made under the guidance of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar.
The selected trainees will fill various roles, including 50 Junior Engineers (Civil), 5 Junior Engineers (Electrical), 67 Civil Engineering Assistants, 5 Electrical Engineering Assistants, 41 Firefighters, 56 Junior Clerks, 8 Assistant Teachers (UDT), 5 Assistant Teachers (LDT), 2 Tree Officers, and 6 Wiremen.
Initially, applications were invited for 404 positions across various departments in the NMC. With the addition of 29 new positions, including 20 Sanitation Inspectors and 9 Tree Officers, the total number of available positions has increased. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website, rojgar.mahaswayam.gov.in.
Under the scheme, selected candidates will receive monthly stipends based on their qualifications: ₹6,000 for those with a 12th-grade education, ₹8,000 for ITI or diploma holders, and ₹10,000 for graduates or postgraduates. The remaining vacancies include positions for Civil Engineering Assistants, Firefighters, Junior Clerks, Sanitation Inspectors, and Assistant Teachers.
