26-Year-Old Stabbed After Altercation Over Drinking
Nagpur, India- Sagar Sanjay Kanojia, a 26-year-old, sustained serious injuries after being stabbed by two acquaintances during a dispute over alcohol in the Ambazari area. The incident took place at a skating ground in the locality. Sagar, who works in decoration, had gone with friends Veer Thapa and Suraj Nichod to Wadi on the afternoon of July 27 to drink alcohol. Ajit Netam (24) and Veer Thapa (18), both from Sudam Nagari, were reportedly upset about being excluded from the outing.
Upon learning that Sagar and Veer had been drinking, Ajit confronted them in the evening. He allegedly began verbally abusing Sagar for not including him. Despite Sagar's efforts to calm the situation, Ajit's anger escalated. The confrontation turned violent when Ajit, assisted by Veer, used a sharp weapon to stab Sagar in the neck.
Sagar fled to his home, where his relatives took him to the hospital for treatment. After recovering, Sagar filed a complaint at the Ambazari Police Station, leading to the police registering a case.
