27-Year-Old Arrested for Raping and Blackmailing Minor in Buldhana
Buldhana, Vidarbha: A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing a minor girl in Buldhana district. The accused, Sameer Raju Deshmukh, lives in Dudhgaon, Malkapur taluka.
The incident came to light after the girl confided in her parents, who then contacted the police. The girl met Deshmukh through social media, and their friendship turned into a relationship. On December 12, 2024, Deshmukh invited her to a cafe in Malkapur, where he is accused of having sexual relations with her. Later, he took her to another location in Chintamani Nagar, where he filmed her in compromising situations.
Deshmukh allegedly threatened to share the videos online if the girl did not comply with his demands. After being threatened for two months, she finally spoke out.
Deshmukh has been taken to court and is now in police custody until February 20. The police are investigating the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Residents are now urging police to conduct regular checks on cafes in the area, expressing concern that they are being used for illegal activities.
