₹5.4 Lakh Prize Pool at Maharashtra State Women's Badminton Tournament
Nagpur, India: Nagpur will host the Sadabai Raisoni Memorial Maharashtra State Women’s Badminton Tournament from March 7 to March 9, 2025, at Subhedar Badminton Hall, RTMNU Campus, Ravi Nagar. The event is organised by the Nagpur District Badminton Association (NDBA) and the Maharashtra Badminton Association (MBA) to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The tournament includes various categories, including girls’ singles for Under-9, Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17; girls’ doubles for Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17; open women’s singles and doubles; and veterans’ singles and doubles.
With a prize pool of ₹5,40,000, this is the highest-paying state-level badminton tournament. Players can register until March 3, 2025.
“This tournament provides a great opportunity for women athletes and offers the highest prize money at the state level,” said Mangesh Kashikar, MBA Senior Vice President and NDBA Secretary.
The event aims to encourage more women to participate in sports and promote badminton at a competitive level.
