65-Year-Old Nagpur Man Arrested for Alleged Assault on Minor in Pratap Nagar
Nagpur, India: A 65-year-old man was arrested on February 4 after an incident involving young girls who were molested in Pratapnagar. The accused, Devanand Dukari Thakre, who lives in Lakshminagar, allegedly visited the home of a 38-year-old woman and misbehaved towards her five-year-and-seven-month-old daughter.
The incident happened between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM. When the child screamed, Thakre fled the scene. The child's mother filed a complaint with the police, leading to an investigation.
Police Sub-Inspector Amol Tambe was assigned to the case. Thakre has been charged under the Juvenile Justice Act and the POCSO Act, which protect children from sexual offences. The police arrested Thakre shortly after the complaint was made.
The investigation is ongoing.
