66-Year-Old Rtd Govt Employee Murdered in Robbery Attempt in Koradi
Nagpur, India: A 66-year-old retired government press employee was killed during a robbery attempt at his home in Durga Nagar, behind Sunder Biscuit Factory, on Tuesday.
The victim, identified as Papa Shivrao Madavi, was alone at home when the incident happened. His wife and children had left for work in the morning. Police believe that an unknown attacker tried to rob the house and stabbed Madavi when he resisted.
The crime was discovered around 4 pm when his wife returned home. She alerted the neighbours, who then informed the police.
Koradi police arrived at the scene, conducted an investigation, and recovered the murder weapon. Since there are no nearby houses or CCTV cameras, officers are relying on information from people to catch the attacker.
A murder case has been registered at Koradi police station, and further investigation is ongoing.
