7-Month-Old Marriage Ends in Tragedy as Husband Kills Wife, Then Dies by Suicide

Amravati: A love marriage of seven months ended in tragedy after a man allegedly strangled his wife before taking his own life at a farmhouse in Rahatgaon. The deceased have been identified as Amol Gaikwad (35) and Shilpa Gaikwad (32).
Amol’s father, Suresh Gaikwad, has been working as a security guard at the farmhouse for 5-6 years, and the family has been living there. On Saturday night, Suresh slept outside on a watchtower, while Amol and Shilpa went to their room on the first floor. Amol’s mother slept on the ground floor.
On Sunday morning, when Amol’s mother went to check on them, she was shocked to find Amol hanging from the ceiling and Shilpa lying lifeless on the bed.
The Nandgaon Peth Police were called immediately. They sent the bodies to District General Hospital for post-mortem.
The police found a suicide note at the scene, allegedly written by Amol. It mentioned that he killed Shilpa before ending his own life. However, police are still verifying the note and investigating the reasons behind the tragedy.
Senior police officers, including DCP Sagar Patil, ACP Kailas Pundkar, and PI Mahendra Ambhore, visited the farmhouse to investigate further.
The incident has left the local community in shock, and police are continuing their probe.
