A dietician offers advice on how to avoid and manage acidity

Acidity is uncomfortable, the excessive bloating and burning sensation in your stomach, along with a worrisome gassy feeling, can ruin your day. You may even avoid specific foods out of fear of acidity, labeling them "too gassy," but you no longer do that. Dietitian Rujuta Diwekar posted a video on Instagram explaining practical strategies for dealing with acidity. She also talked about avoiding certain habits as a preventative measure.

1. Do not delay meals- Rujuta Diwekar made the argument that people should never skip meals.  Meals are frequently delayed for a variety of reasons, including work-related ones. Acidity frequently follows restless nights and the next morning.

2. Buttermilk- Now, Rujuta Diwekar suggested drinking a glass of chaach with lunch together with hing to prevent the acidity from burning. This combination works well to calm the stomach. Additionally, it will lessen the unpleasant sensations of acidity.

3. Root Water- Rujuta Diwekar suggested using vetiver or wala roots as the next natural cure for acidity. To reduce acidity, she advised adding them to your drinking water.
