A lighting truss that fell on a model, age 24, during a fashion show in Noida caused her death
A 24-year-old model died and another person was hurt when an iron truss supporting the lighting fell during a fashion show at Film City, Noida. The incident happened on Sunday at Laxmi Studio about 1:30 p.m. Vanshika Chopra, a resident of Greater Noida's Gaur City-2, was named as the deceased. Bobby Raj from Agra suffered injuries at the same time and is currently receiving care at a local hospital.
The people in charge of installing the lighting truss and organising the fashion show have all been taken into custody by the authorities and are currently being questioned. Despite the fact that some viewers may find the images upsetting, social media users have shared many images of the terrible situation. Four suspects have been taken into custody so that additional investigation may be conducted, according to Shakti Awasthi, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police in Noida.
Among the event's volunteer promoters was Vanshika Chopra. She was transported to Kailash Hospital after the iron truss collapsed during the fashion presentation, where medics quickly declared her dead. There were about 150 people present at the studio when the incident took place, according to reports.
There were no CCTV cameras in the room where the fashion show was held, therefore officials are currently working to collect videos and witness accounts. According to the police officer, appropriate legal action will be taken after the investigation is over.
