A Resident of Amravati Threatens High Court Judge Following A Court Ruling
An individual hailing from Amravati has recently dispatched a menacing letter to two judges presiding over the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court. The threat stems from the judges' unfavorable ruling in a legal case. The High Court has taken this matter with utmost seriousness, directing the police to conduct a thorough investigation at a senior level. Simultaneously, the security measures around the court premises have been intensified.
Ordinarily, individuals turn to the court seeking redress when they perceive injustice. The court diligently weighs all sides of an issue and delivers its verdict in accordance with the law. In instances where one party disputes the decision, they have the recourse to appeal. However, an unusual sequence of events unfolded in this case. Following an adverse ruling against him in a legal matter, the aforementioned individual from Amravati directly sent a threatening missive to the two judges on October 7. Administrative authorities within the High Court have confirmed this occurrence.
PI Kavita Isarkar has conveyed that the High Court complex has robust security measures in place. Subsequent to this incident, security arrangements have been further bolstered. Every person entering the court premises is now subject to a metal detector scan and requisite questioning before being granted entry. The threatening letter is purported to have been sent under the name of a political figure from Amravati. However, during questioning, the alleged sender disavowed any connection to the letter. Given that the letter originated from Amravati, local law enforcement is also conducting its own investigation into the matter.
