Due to the return of poisonous air and the dangerously high bad air quality index (AQI), which is endangering the health of the inhabitants, Indian cities, particularly the capital city of Delhi, are currently in danger. Although specialists warn that viral infections may potentially make the health problems worse, people with respiratory illnesses such as chronic heart or lung diseases would inevitably suffer.

Asserting the need for flu and pneumococcal vaccinations, particularly for individuals with underlying medical issues. Dr. Sachin Kumar recommended the following preventative measures:

1. Keeping an eye on the Air Quality Index (AQI): An AQI of 300 or higher is deemed dangerous. Indeed, moderate AQI can be detrimental as well. As winter approaches, temperature inversions will cause more decline in air temperatures as warm air rises and disperses contaminants into the higher atmosphere.

2. Remain inside during the hours of most pollution: Avoid going outside, especially when traffic is heavy.

3. Take off your mask properly: Wearing N95 or P100 masks, which have superior filtration qualities, will help you avoid harmful particles and keep you and others from becoming contaminated whether you have COVID-19 or not.

4. Maintain a clean environment at home and around you: Hang succulent pants and use air purifiers to help clear the air for healthy oxygen circulation and to cut down on indoor pollution.

5. Examine your diet: Always prepare foods that are high in nutrients and have a balanced diet, such as proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and antioxidants. These will help to maintain the health of your lungs.

6. Get enough water in your diet: Water helps your body become purer by removing pollutants. Thus, aim to consume the bare minimum of water recommended each day.

7. Speak with your doctor: Individuals who already have respiratory issues should see their doctors right away.

8. Medications: Individuals who already have various medical conditions ought to take their medications on time.
