AI Elvis Presley returning in virtual reality with London performance
Thanks to virtual reality, admirers of Elvis Presley who were not able to witness their idol play live will be able to see the King of Rock 'n' Roll perform later this year.
According to Layered Reality, the immersive entertainment company creating Elvis Evolution, the concert would recreate events in Presley's life and music using AI, holographic projection, augmented reality, and live theater.
According to creator and CEO of Layered Reality Andrew McGuinness, "it's going to be a joyous celebration of Elvis's life; the man, the music, and his cultural legacy," Reuters was informed.
From Tupelo, Mississippi, where Elvis Presley was born in 1935, to Memphis, Tennessee, the location of Graceland, and Las Vegas, visitors will embark on an adventure.
46 years after the singer's death at the age of 42, his popularity continues to grow throughout the world. He is regarded as the best-selling solo music artist of all time, having sold over 500 million recordings. A new generation of admirers was drawn to Baz Luhrmann's 2022 biopic Elvis, while Sofia Coppola's 2023 film Priscilla examined his complicated marriage to his wife.
According to McGuinness, Elvis Evolution would be interesting to both ardent admirers and people who are just looking to learn more about the singer of "Can't Help Falling in Love." He continued, "Elvis Evolution will visit Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Berlin after London."
