AID Held Meeting with Nagpur Collector & MIL Chairman, Met MIHAN Industries to Promote Growth & Resolve Challenges

Nagpur, India: A productive meeting took place between Dr. Vipin Itankar, Collector of Nagpur and Chairman of MIHAN India Ltd. (MIL), and a group of leaders from various organizations working in MIHAN, led by Ashish Kale, President of the Association for Industrial Development (AID). The main aim of the meeting was to discuss strategies for enhancing MIHAN's visibility and growth both within Maharashtra and across India, while also addressing operational challenges and policy concerns faced by businesses within the MIHAN SEZ.
Key operational issues were discussed, and potential solutions were explored. During the meeting, Dr. Itankar suggested creating a task force to help promote MIHAN and quickly address the challenges faced by businesses. This proposal was agreed upon by AID, which immediately announced the formation of the task force. A follow-up meeting is set for next week.
AID also suggested comparing MIHAN’s policies and infrastructure with those of other growing and successful industrial hubs to ensure MIHAN stays competitive and appealing to investors.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Secretary of AID, pointed out that the meeting is a key step in creating a more business-friendly environment in MIHAN, drawing in new businesses, and positioning Nagpur as a top IT hub. He emphasized that the creation of the task force, along with Collector Itankar's commitment, reflects a renewed effort to tackle current challenges and fully realize MIHAN's potential.
Key industry leaders who contributed valuable insights during the meeting included Arvind Kumar, (Centre Head at TCS) Shailesh Awale, (Centre Head at HCLTech) Manish Agrawal, (Head of Operations at Tech Mahindra Ltd.) Rajendra Jodhpurkar, (Global CIO at InfoCepts) Rahul Karangale, (Principal Consultant at Infosys Ltd.) Vinod Tambi, (Co-Founder and President of Excellon Software & Executive Committee Member of AID) and Ajay Kapoor, (Founder & President of Ascent Business Solutions and Convenor for the IT Sector at AID).
Also present were Sanjay Ingle, (Senior Manager Marketing at MADC); Virendra Kukreja; Nilesh Kodand; Abhishek Gijare; Abhishek Jumde; and Major Koushal Nasare.
