AIFF addresses the accusations made by Igor Stimac
Igor Stimac's comments after being fired as head coach of the Indian men's team earlier this month have prompted a response from the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
Stimac's recent remarks in the media drew criticism from the AIFF, which said that he was trying to damage the federation's brand and denigrate its employees.
In a turbulent Friday media session, the former coach levied several charges against the AIFF and its president, Kalyan Chaubey. Now, the federation has denied these allegations.
AIFF refuted one of Stimac's several allegations, which was that he was not allowed to speak with AIFF authorities. During his term, Stimac met with President Kalyan Chaubey both in person and virtually, according to the federation.
The AIFF acknowledged that during the contract renewal procedure for Stimac, particular instructions to incorporate termination conditions favorable to the federation were not followed.
