Ajni Railway Station all set to be Renovated
In order to improve infrastructure, Indian Railways is going through a significant makeover. The current Ajni railway station building was demolished to make room for the construction of a state-of-the-art G-3 building. The Central Railway is currently working to improve the infrastructure and passenger experience throughout its network, which includes the redevelopment of the Rs 300 crore Ajni station.
Ajni Station's renovation is well underway. Utility moving of electrical wires, water, and sewerage pipelines has been finished, and trenching and excavation activities have begun. On the east side of the station, work is underway to construct a G+3 structure. Nine stories will be added to this structure.
The station will be designed as a green structure with features for rainwater collection, solar energy, and water saving. The Central Railway Construction Company is hard at work building four more platforms to meet anticipated demand. The high level platforms would guarantee that there is no space left when the trains stop. By 2025, the new structures on the Eastern and Western sides will be completed.
Also, a temporary structure built next to the parking lot serves as the temporary home for the Station Master's office, the Commercial Department's office, and the RPF office.Currently, 6,075 passengers travel through the Ajni railway station each day, which is located approximately 2.8 km from the Nagpur train station. With the installation of four new platforms and the growth rate study, it is anticipated that there would be about 50,000 passengers per day in 2060.
