Amit Shah to Visit Nagpur for Key BJP Meetings Ahead of Assembly Polls

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Nagpur on Tuesday as part of his two-day tour of Maharashtra. Shah will arrive at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport at 1 PM and head to the Suresh Bhat Auditorium for a crucial meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers. The meeting is a significant event ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.

BJP workers and office-bearers have been asked to gather at the airport to give Shah a grand welcome. The event will also see the senior leaders including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

Shah’s visit will include meetings in Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), Nashik, and Kolhapur. During these interactions, Shah will discuss important party matters, including the seat-sharing formula for the assembly polls among the Mahayuti alliance.

BJP's Vidarbha unit has organized the event meticulously, with city leaders like Bunty Kukde, MLC Pravin Datke, Dr. Upendra Kothekar, and others taking charge of arrangements. Kukde emphasized that Shah’s visit will involve direct communication with the heads of all 62 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in Vidarbha.

In preparation for the visit, Vidarbha Organising Secretary Dr. Upendra Kothekar held a special meeting with key officials. Local BJP leaders, including Vice-President Sanjay Bhende and General Secretaries Sandip Gavai, Vishnu Changde, and Ashwini Jichkar, will be part of the event.

BJP spokesperson Chandan Goswami said that banners welcoming Shah will be displayed across Nagpur. The meeting will provide Shah an opportunity to interact with grassroots workers and finalize strategies ahead of the elections.
