Amravati: 2 Killed as Truck Hits Stationary Tempo on Samruddhi Expressway

Amravati: A tragic accident occurred on the Samruddhi Expressway near Wadhona village in Amravati district on Wednesday morning, claiming the lives of a tempo driver and his cleaner. A speeding truck rammed into their stationary vehicle while they were replacing a damaged tyre.
The tempo truck (MH-04, JU-3208) was travelling from Bhiwandi to Nagpur, carrying goods when a tyre burst near channel number 108/600. The driver, Bilal Ahmad (30), and the cleaner, Santosh Kumar Rampati, both residents of Assam, were changing the tyre when a truck (MH-12, MV-5630) coming from behind hit the tempo with great force. The impact was so severe that both men died instantly.
Upon being informed, Talegaon Dashasar police station officer Rameshwar Dhondge, along with highway police in-charge Maya Chatse and their team, rushed to the spot. The bodies were shifted to the rural hospital in Dhamangaon Railway for post-mortem. A crane was used to move both vehicles off the road, restoring normal traffic flow.
The police have registered a case against the truck driver, Yuvraj Bhausaheb Dhole (30), a resident of Bhose village in Karjat tehsil, Ahilyanagar district. Talegaon Dashasar police are conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.
