Amravati Gears Up for a Vibrant Navratri Festival in Vidarbha

Vidarbha - Amravati, India: Navratri is going to be celebrated in Amravati city and in rural areas. There are 1,859 public places where the idols of the goddess will be set up in the district.

Amravati city and rural police have made security arrangements for Durga utsav to ensure peaceful celebration. 

There are 492 Sarvajanik Durga utsav and 102 Sharda utsav mandals under the jurisdiction of 10 police stations under Amravati Police, and there are 1,611 Sarvajanik DurgaMandals and 249 Sharda Mandals under the jurisdiction of 31 police stations in the rural police department.

The initiative of 'Ek Gaon Ek Durga devi and Sharda devi' will be implemented at 398 places. To maintain law and order during Navratri Utsav.

Three deputy commissioners, 5 assistant commissioners of police, 25 police inspectors, 70 API/PSI, and 1,350 police personnel, along with the RCP and QRT squad, 1 platoon of the State Reserve Police Force, and 500 men and women home guards, will be deployed for security.

There are fixed points for crowded places and sensitive areas. There will be 12 CR Mobile vehicles, 6 Damini squads, beat martials, and Dial 112 vehicles will continuously patrol in Amravati city for the safety and security of the people. Commissioner of Police Navinchandra Reddy has appealed to people to celebrate the Navratri Utsav with fervour and enthusiasm and also appealed to cooperate with police administration.
