An FIR logged against Munawar Faruqui for using drone illegally
According to a report by Free Press Journal, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against a drone camera operator who was filming Munawar Faruqui's Bigg Boss 17 win party. Munawar's victory was celebrated in Dongri by a sizable throng. Munawar stood on his car's sunroof, having also purchased his cherished trophy.
According to the same report, constable Nitin Shinde, who was patrolling with PSI Tausif Mulla, first spotted Munawar Faruqui's admirer, identified as Arbaaz Yusuf Khan (26).
After confronting the drone operator, who lacked authorization to use the drone during the celebration in Dongri, Mumbai, the police reportedly reported the incident to the police station. Additionally, it is said that the cops seized the drone camera.
According to reports, a case has been filed for disobeying the Mumbai Police Commissioner's directives, which prohibit using drones without authorization.
Previously, with the public's safety in mind, the police had banned flying items, including drone cameras. The only exceptions are when police use drones for aerial surveillance or when the deputy commissioner of police specifically authorizes it in writing.
