Anil Kapoor Talks on Family Real-life Experiences While Filming Animal
In an upcoming film, "Animal," Anil Kapoor is set to portray Ranbir Kapoor's father, a choice that brought personal reflections for the veteran actor. During a recent press conference in Hyderabad, Anil shared that the movie prompted him to contemplate his late father, Surinder Kapoor, a film producer, and his own relationship with his son, actor Harshvardhan Kapoor.
"This film has made me think about my father a lot, and my relationship with my son," Anil expressed during the press conference. He revealed that both he and Ranbir drew from their real-life experiences while portraying their characters in "Animal." Anil praised director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for casting them as father and son, emphasizing their long-standing family connection with Ranbir's late father.
"Casting is a very crucial part of a film," Anil Kapoor emphasized, commending Sandeep Reddy Vanga's choices, particularly the "masterstroke" of casting Bobby Deol as the antagonist. Anil also highlighted the inclusion of veteran actors like Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, and Prem Chopra, noting that their presence brings a "freshness" to the film. He expressed concern about an "ageist kind of society" that often fails to fully recognize the talents of seasoned actors who have been in the industry for years.
