Autorickshaw Sharing to Start from 20 Metro Stations

Maha Metro Nagpur passengers may now use 20 metro stations to access shared auto rickshaw service. Since the service was introduced today, March 15, at the remaining Reach-IV stations (from Sitabuldi Interchange to Prajapati Nagar), all of the stations in this stretch of Reach-IV now offer shared autorickshaw services.

Currently, half of the 37 Metro Stations that are in operation offer this service. As a result, the inaugural service launch took place at Kasturchand Park Metro Station on February 2, 2024, under the direction of Shri Shravan Hardikar, MD, Maha Metro. Since then, Nagpur Metro has been regularly launching this service throughout the city.

Currently, shared autorickshaw service is offered at the following metro stations: Kasturchand Park, Kadbi Square, Nari Road & Automotive Square (Reach II – Sitabuldi Interchange to Automotive Square), Cotton Market, Nagpur Railway Station, Dosar Vaisya Bhawan, Agrasen Square, Chitar Oli Square, Telephone Exchange Square, Ambedkar Square and Vaishnodevi Square, and Prajapati Nagar Metro Station.
Service would soon begin on the remaining 17 stations: Zero Mile, Gaddigodam, Sitabuldi Interchange, Bansi Nagar, Vasudev Nagar, Rachna Ring Road, Subhash Nagar, Dharampeth College, LAD College, Khapri, New Airport, Airport South, Airport, Rahate Colony, Congress Nagar, Bansi Square, Rahate Colony, and Zero Mile.

In the event that the drivers of the cars that were part of this service violate any traffic laws or conduct any infractions, the RTO and Traffic Police will take the appropriate legal action against them. Maha Metro has issued an appeal to all drivers, asking them to abide by the laws and regulations in place and ensure that the citizens receive hassle-free service.

MD Shri Shravan Hardikar is eager to give the people of this orange city access to a dependable, effective, economical, commuter-friendly, and environmentally responsible public transportation system. He has been making great efforts, and he has also given the Maha Metro personnel instructions to ensure that the greatest number of people are drawn to the service for their daily commute.
