BCCI held its Annual Awards Ceremony in Hyderabad
On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in Hyderabad, the BCCI's cricket awards for Indian domestic and international cricketers were presented after a four-season break. The men's and women's cricket teams from India and England, as well as a number of local players and cricket legends, attended the event, which was hosted by Harsha Bhogle.
Among the celebrities that stole the show at the BCCI awards, which were held in Hyderabad on Tuesday, January 23, were Shubman Gill, Ravi Shastri, Smriti Mandhana, and Jasprit Bumrah.
For ending as the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket between India and the West Indies in 2022–2023, Ashwin was given the Dilip Sardesai Award. For the second time in his career, Ashwin also took home the Polly Umrigar Award for best international cricketer of the year.
The prizes for the top international cricket players in 2019–20, 2022–23, and 2021–22 went to Mohammad Shami, Shubman Gill, and Bumrah, in that order.
The Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy for the Best Women Cricketer (Jr Domestic) went to Kashvee Gautam, who recently made history as the most expensive cricket player in the history of the Women's Premier League (WPL).
