Blinkit Introduces Monthly Installments for Purchases Over Rs 2,999
Nagpur, India: Blinkit has introduced a new payment feature that allows customers to pay for their purchases exceeding Rs 2,999 in monthly installments, making it easier to manage their expenses.
This move aims to improve customer interaction and boost average spending per order, especially as Blinkit competes fiercely with other platforms like Swiggy, Instamart, and Zepto.
Albinder Dhindsa, the founder of Blinkit, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the platform now offers EMI options for purchases over Rs 2,999, excluding orders for gold and silver coins. He believes this will enhance affordability and help customers with their financial planning.
The company stated that the EMI option will apply to almost all products, except for gold and silver coins. This makes it easier for consumers who depend on quick commerce for groceries and household goods to place larger orders.
Blinkit is partnering with major banks such as HDFC, SBI, and ICICI to provide a smooth payment experience through credit cards. Alongside the new EMI option, Blinkit has also launched the Seller Hub, allowing brands to manage their presence on the platform independently.
This feature has attracted more than 200 brands, offering them tools to effectively manage their quick commerce operations.
