Blood Donation Camp at NADP Sees Enthusiastic Participation, 29 Donors
The National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) successfully hosted a blood donation camp on September 29, 2024, in collaboration with Lifeline Blood Centre. Officers, employees, family members, and PGDM students actively participated in the event, contributing to the noble cause of saving lives through blood donation.
The camp was attended by Dr. JP Dash, Chief General Manager, NADP, Dr. A S Khan, General Manager, NADP, and Dr. Harish Barve, Medical Director, of Lifeline Blood Centre, whose presence and encouragement lifted the spirits of the donors.
A total of 29 donors, including 27 men and two women, stepped forward to donate blood, which will significantly help individuals in need of critical blood transfusions.
Dr. Harish Barve expressed his gratitude to the NADP for organizing the event and highlighted the importance of blood donation. He also dispelled common misconceptions about the process, emphasizing the health benefits of donating blood. Dr. Barve shared tips on maintaining good health through regular exercise and a balanced diet.
The National Academy of Defence Production reaffirmed its commitment to community service and pledged to continue organizing similar initiatives in the future.
