Bollywood Celebrities React to Vinesh Phogat’s Paris Olympics 2024
All the Indians are eyeing Paris Olympics 2024. The news of Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s exclusion from the Paris Olympics 2024 has sent shockwaves through the country. Phogat, who had made history by becoming the first Indian wrestler to reach an Olympics final, faced a heartbreaking setback when she was disqualified after being found 150 grams overweight during the weigh-in on the final day of the competition.
After her last win everybody was highly anticipating her performance in final. The news of her exclusion left everybody in disbelief. There seemed to be an outpouring support and reactions all over the internet, it included the PM Narendra Modi and notable bollywood celebs. Taking the platform X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, "Vinesh, you are a champion among champions! You are India's pride and an inspiration for each and every Indian. Today's setback hurts. I wish words could express the sense of despair that I am experiencing. At the same time, I know that you epitomise resilience. It has always been your nature to take challenges head-on. Come back stronger! We are all rooting for you.
On the other hand bollywood celebs also took various social media platforms and voiced their support and encouragement for the athlete. Alia Bhatt shared a heartfelt note on social media, she took the chance and highlighted Vinesh Phogat’s achievements and strength. Ananya Panday praised Phogat, calling her a "Champ" and expressing her admiration for the wrestler’s determination and spirit.
