Bollywood's Stars to perform in the opening ceremony of IPL 2024
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season will get off on March 22 at Chennai's Chepauk Stadium. And with celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, AR Rahman, and Sonu Nigam scheduled to perform, it appears like the star-studded opening ceremony will be the buzz of the town.
"The stage is set, the lights are bright, and the stars are ready to shine at the TATA IPL 2024 opening ceremony!" tweets the official IPL on X account in regards to the lineup for the opening ceremony. A fantastic roster and an incredible blend of cricket and entertainment await you! 22nd March, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Rahman and Sonu will sing patriotic music in addition to Bollywood hits, a source verified. They provided context for the length of the opening ceremony by stating, "The entire show, including Akshay and Tiger's performance, will be about 30 minutes long."
Along with the musical performance, Sonu and Rahman will perform a few Bollywood tunes together. "A highlight of the opening ceremony will be a never-before-seen AR (Augmented Reality) technology display," the statement continues.
