Brahmapuri Hottest in Vidarbha at 42.3°C, Nagpur Follows Closely

Nagpur, India: Nagpur continues to sizzle as temperatures soared to 41.8°C on Thursday, making it the hottest day of the season so far. Though there was a marginal dip, Friday recorded the same temperature of 41.8°C. Brahmapuri reported the highest temperature in Vidarbha at 42.3°C, while other districts in the region also witnessed intense heat.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), no significant weather systems are currently affecting Central India. A trough is developing between Bihar and Assam, but it is unlikely to have any impact on Vidarbha’s weather. The heatwave is expected to persist through the rest of March, with temperatures hovering around 40°C in early April. Dry conditions will prevail due to the absence of any active weather systems.

Most districts in Vidarbha have crossed the 40°C mark, except Washim, which recorded 39.6°C, and Buldhana, where the temperature stood at 35.5°C. Following Brahmapuri, Chandrapur recorded 42°C, Wardha 41.9°C, Akola and Gadchiroli 41°C, Amravati 40.8°C, Yavatmal 40.4°C, and Bhandara 40°C.
