Bronze medal won by Adarsh Bhure in the men's 100-meter race

Adarsh Bhure created history at the North-East-West Division Inter University Athletics Championship in Bhubaneswar when he won the bronze in the men's 100-meter race for Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. He achieved this feat, making him the first athlete from RTMNU to do so.

Adarsh finished the race in 10.81 seconds to win his first bronze in a major competition. Adarsh's run across the seventh lane gave him an incredible start. However, Harsh Raut from Ahilyadevi Holkar University in Solapur, who trained under Nilesh Patkar in Thane, defeated Adarsh at the finish line. Adarsh set career best times in the semi-final in the preliminary round, with 10.88 and 10.78 seconds, respectively.

Adarsh conveyed his happiness at the accomplishment. "It must have been exhausting to run in a final for the first time," he said. So I retreated a step. If not, we may have given a time of 10.70 seconds. Before the 100-meter final event, he participated in the 4-100-meter relay preliminary round.

He will now compete in the 200-meter race tomorrow. Nagpur University secured the fourth position. Thanks to his achievement, Adarsh has been selected for the All India Inter University Athletics Championship, which takes place in Chennai starting on January 4.
