CCTV Reveals Audi Crash: Bawankule and Chittamwar Exit Through Sunroof
Nagpur, India: In a dramatic development, CCTV footage has revealed crucial details about a recent collision involving multiple cars in the Ramdaspeth area. The footage, reviewed by police on Tuesday, shows Sanket Bawankule and Ronit Chittamwar emerging from the sunroof of an Audi just before the crash. Arjun Hawre, who was behind the wheel of the Audi, has been identified as the driver.
The incident, which occurred after the three men dined at La Horee Bar in Dharampeth, involved a high-speed collision that caused the Audi’s front left tire to burst. Following the crash, the trio fled the scene. Sanket Bawankule, the son of BJP State Chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, was seen leaving the area in a friend’s car after contacting him in Koradi.
The situation escalated when Mohd Faizan, whose Polo was hit by the Audi, followed the fleeing Audi to Mankapur T-point. Faizan and his associates forcibly removed Arjun and Ronit from the Audi, placing them in the Polo. They were then taken to Timki within Tehsil Police Station limits, where Faizan’s group reportedly assaulted them and stole Arjun’s gold chain and bracelet. During this time, Arjun sent his live location to his wife via WhatsApp, which helped the Tehsil Police rescue them.
At Mayo Hospital, it was confirmed that Arjun and Ronit were under the influence of alcohol, as blood tests revealed intoxication. Notably, Sanket’s blood samples were not tested, and he was released following the incident. The investigation into the collision and the subsequent assault continues.
