Chandrapur Man Arrested in Nagpur for Sexual Assault, False Promise of Marriage
Nagpur, India: A 28-year-old man from Chandrapur has been arrested in Nagpur for allegedly deceiving a woman with a false promise of marriage and sexually assaulting her. The accused, Vaibhav Natthuji Gajve from Warora, Chandrapur, met the 24-year-old woman from New Kamptee on Instagram.
According to the police, between January 1, 2024, and December 20, 2024, Gajve repeatedly assaulted the woman at his residence in Pratap Nagar. She claimed that he had assured her of marriage but later refused.
After receiving her complaint, Pratap Nagar Police registered a case under Section 69 of the BNS. The investigation is currently ongoing.
