Chef Vishnu Manohar Sets New World Records for Non-Stop Dosa Making
Nagpur, India: Chef Vishnu Manohar achieved 2 new world records on Sunday at his restaurant, Vishnuji Ki Rasoi. Manohar set records for both the longest duration of non-stop dosa making and the maximum number of dosas prepared within 24 hours.
Starting at 8 am, Manohar began his record-breaking attempt as crowds gathered to enjoy fresh dosas with chutney. Using three large pans across three furnaces, he prepared 24 dosas at a time. Within the first two hours alone, he had made 1,000 dosas, with enthusiastic spectators cheering him on. Originally aiming to prepare 5,000 dosas in 24 hours, the chef exceeded expectations, reaching an impressive 8,520 dosas in just 12 hours.
Manohar expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, stating, “With willingness in mind comes courage, and this is possible thanks to God’s blessings.” He will continue his dosa-making marathon until 8 am on Monday, securing his place in the World Records Book of India.
Prominent leaders, including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, sent congratulatory messages via video. Citizens gathered in large numbers to witness the record-breaking event.
