1. Born to Be a Warrior

Jija Bai nurtured the young Sambhaji Maharaj as his mother Rani Sai Bai died when he was 2-years-old.

Sambhaji was married to Jivubai, who later took the name Yesubai. Their marriage was a political alliance that helped the Marathas gain control over the Konkan coastal region. They had a son, Shahu I, who later became Chhatrapati and continued the Maratha legacy.
