City Police Take Action For Nylon Manja Sales, Arrested 15 Individuals
City police cracked down on the illegal sale of banned nylon manja, arresting 15 individuals on Thursday. In the operation, law enforcement officials confiscated 130 spools of manja, along with two-wheelers, cash, and cellphones, amounting to a total worth of Rs 3.13 lakh.
Among those arrested are Ahmed Raza Khan Abdul Khan (19) from Bengalipanja, Mohammad Aavez alias Assu Mohammad Shakeel Umar (19) from Dahi Bazar, Jishaan Ali Asif Ali (20) from Sanjivani Quarter, Yashodhara Nagar, Harsh Ravi Matelkar (19) from Kanji House Chowk, Kamlakar alias Sonu Vijay Hedau (28) from Vinoba Bhave Nagar, Rahul Malu Ramesh Pal (31) from Prem Nagar, Shaikh Sameer Shaikh Shabir (24) from Hiwri Nagar slums, Mehak Vijay Parate (25) and Utkarsh Vijay Parate (20), both from Jagnath Budhwari, Abhishek Singh Gajendra Singh Solanki (21) from Ayodhya Nagar, Tejas Shridhar Charde (20) from Umrer Road, Kailash Safarmal Gochwani (45) from Sindhi Colony, Khamla, Rishikesh Ramesh Adikane from Gosawi Basti, Nandanvan, Nishant Anil Waghmare (24) from Adarsh Nagar, Pachpaoli, and Shreyanshu Nitin Khaperde (18) from Panchasheel Nagar.
Separate cases have been registered against them under relevant sections of the IPC and the Environment (Protection) Act at Tehsil, Yashodhara Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Kapil Nagar, Sakkardara, Rana Pratap Nagar, and Sadar Police Stations. The police in the Second Capital will continue their special drive against the sale and use of nylon manja.
