CM Eknath Shinde Launches New Social Media Handles For Shiv Sena
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday 19th June 2023, Launched New Social Media Handles For Shiv Sena on the Party's 57th Foundation Day Ahead of the Party's Foundation Day Event at Suburban Goregaon, Mumbai.
It is interesting to note that the social media handles of the Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Faction still follows the CMO account which is currently occupied for Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde. Apart from that, many leaders from the Eknath Shinde Faction are still followed by the instagram account (@shivsena) of the UBT Faction such as Gajanan Kiritkar, Dr. Shashikant Khedar and Dnyanraj Chaugule among others.
"The party will communicate its official announcements as well as decisions through the @shivsenaofc Twitter as well as Instagram accounts. It will also be used to make the party's stand clear" it said in a press release.
While the foundation day event has received great response, the social media accounts are yet to get the pace. During the time of reporting, The social media handles has 175 (Twitter), 230 (Instagram) and 14K (Facebook) followers while comparing with the UBT handles has 865.9K (Twitter), 386K (Instagram) and 823K (Facebook) followers respectively.
The new social media handles are launched resultant of the party's split in june last year following the rebellion by Mr. Shinde and the new government formation in Coalition with the BJP Devendra Fadnavis Government.
Shiv Sena was founded by late Shri. Balasaheb Thackeray on 19th June, 1966 in Mumbai to protect the interests of Marathi-speaking persons.
