Construction on the Wadi Flyover Has Resumed After a Six-Month Break
At Wadi T-point, work on the Wadi flyover is scheduled to resume following a six-month break. The installation of monopoles has been started by the National Highway division of the State Public Works Department in cooperation with MSETCL. The purpose of this action is to raise the height of high-tension cables, which at the busy Wadi intersection on the Nagpur-Amravati highway, previously hindered and delayed flyover construction.
The job of raising the 132KV electric lines' height from 10.5 meters to 28 meters has been given to MSETCL. This modification is essential to enable the 2.46 km flyover to be built as part of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways' Rs 478 crore traffic improvement plan for Amravati Road. The project's goal is to reduce traffic on the congested road.
The proposal includes an additional flyover that connects the University Campus square to the RTO intersection. On the other side of Amravati Road, the Wadi flyover has already been completed. By the end of May, the National Highway division intends to complete all flyover construction.
The need to raise the height of the high-tension wires necessitated an extension of the initial deadline of March 31. Three monopoles have had their foundations laid during a site inspection, and construction of monopoles is now under place at one location. Following the completion of this stage, the wires will be strung.
