Consuming bananas before bed to get better sleep
For many years, bananas have been hailed as the ideal pre-bedtime snack. However, it seems that it might not be improving the quality of your sleep at all. According to a recent study, bananas may not actually aid in falling asleep, despite their nutritional value.
Magnesium, potassium, and vitamin B6 are all found in abundance in bananas and have a relaxing impact on the body. One banana, however, is unable to satisfy the body's daily needs for these nutrients. Bananas, for instance, are commonly associated with high potassium content; nevertheless, a single banana barely meets 10% of the body's daily potassium needs.
Banana and its nutritional value:
1. Because bananas are high in potassium, magnesium, and vitamin B6, they are said to help people fall asleep more easily.
2. Magnesium is well known for promoting calmness and relaxation in humans. But the body needs 400 milligrams of magnesium every day, and bananas only provide thirty milligrams. Therefore, the goal of our diets should be to provide the body with the daily amount of magnesium it needs.
3. Vitamin B6 assists in mood management and enhancing serotonin synthesis. Bananas can supply 0.4 milligrams of the 1.3 milligrams of vitamin B6 required daily.
