Content Creator Allegedly Assaulted by YouTuber Elvish Yadav
A recent incident unfolded in Gurugram's Sector 53 area where a content creator from Delhi, Sagar Thakur, was reportedly assaulted by popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav and his associates in a local shopping mall. The police disclosed that the altercation occurred on Friday, with a video of the purported assault circulating widely on social media platforms.
Thakur, who enjoys a significant online following with over 1.6 million YouTube subscribers, 890,000 Instagram followers, and 250,000 followers on X, lodged a formal complaint against Yadav. In his statement, Thakur alleged that Yadav not only physically assaulted him but also threatened his life during the altercation.
The incident apparently stemmed from mounting tensions between Thakur and Yadav's fan pages, which Thakur claims have been spreading hate and misinformation about him for several months.
According to Thakur's account, Yadav requested a meeting under the guise of a discussion, which Thakur agreed to. However, upon meeting at the mall, Yadav arrived with a group of individuals, purportedly inebriated, and proceeded to attack Thakur with abusive language and physical violence. Thakur reported that Yadav attempted to inflict severe harm, including attempting to damage his spine.
Following Thakur's complaint, the police took swift action and registered an FIR against Yadav and others under relevant sections of the IPC, including charges of rioting, unlawful assembly, causing hurt, and criminal intimidation.
The investigation into the incident is currently underway, with authorities looking into the matter with due diligence to ascertain the facts and ensure justice prevails.
