Credai Maharashtra Premier League Kicks Off in Vidarbha Regional Matches
Credai Nagpur Metro proudly organized the inaugural event of the Credai Maharashtra Premier League (CMPL). The Vidarbha regional matches took place at the WCL Cricket Ground in Civil Lines.
The opening of the regional league matches was marked by a ceremonial inauguration conducted by Prashant Sarode, a former president of Credai Maharashtra. The event was attended by several prominent members of the organization, including Credai Maharashtra Sadhwani, Joint Secretary Dinesh Dhage, Gaurav Agarwala, President of Credai Nagpur Metro, Immediate Past President (IPP) Vijay Dargan, Secretary Ekalawya Wasekar, and Treasurer Ashish Londhe.
The league matches featured spirited competition among the four participating teams, namely Nagpur, Amravati, Chandrapur, and Wardha. In total, six matches were played. The initial match pitted Nagpur against Chandrapur, with Nagpur scoring 161 runs, while Chandrapur managed 123. Nagpur clinched victory by 38 runs.
The second match was held between Wardha and Nagpur, which Nagpur won by seven wickets. The scores for the respective teams were 115 and 120. Wardha and Chandrapur each secured a win in separate matches.
As a result, Nagpur and Wardha qualified for the quarter-finals scheduled to be held in Pune. Notable attendees included Pratish Gujarathi, Co-Convener of CSR and Sports for Credai Maharashtra, and Shubham Kulkarni, Co-Convener of the Youth Wing, along with other members of Credai Nagpur Metro. The event aimed to strengthen the bonds between different city chapters within Credai Maharashtra.
