Nagpur, India: The Crime Branch's Unit-IV has arrested three members of an interstate robbery gang, resolving six cases and recovering stolen items valued at over Rs 2.12 lakh. The suspects—Sonukumar Shivprasad Nat (32), Aakashkumar Roshanlal Nat (30), and Vasudeo Mohanlal Nat (47)—are residents of Jhakadpur in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district.

The gang was responsible for a robbery on September 12, during which they stole a bag containing Rs 40,000 in cash and bank passbooks from 82-year-old Pralhad Ramchandra Patil as he returned home after withdrawing his pension. Following Patil’s complaint, Ajni Police registered a case under Sections 309(4) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.

The suspects have been handed over to Ajni Police for further investigation. The operation was carried out by PI Ramesh Tole, PSI Avinash Jaybhaye, and their team, under the guidance of DCP (Detection) Rahul Maknikar and ACP (Crime) Dr. Abhijeet Patil.
